10 Major things to do in order to make First Class in Benue State University

Having first class in Benue State University is something anybody who is determined and focused can achieve though its not easy to come by.

To make first class, just make "A(s)" your best friend, "B(s)" your good friend and "C (s)" your enemy. A student that has an
average of 9 courses to do per semester to make first class should always have atleast 8A(s) and 1B or at worst 7A(s) and 2B(s)
per semester. Always keep your GP as high as 4.6 - 4.85. We have seen people that made first class over the years and we have
studied their life styles, their ways of life and below are some of the 10 things you should not fail to do or possess if really you
want to make first class in BSUM.

1. BE PRAYERFUL:
You don't need to be told that devil never
likes anything good, that the devil is always out to distract and cause havoc and to make sure that some people's dream are not achieved. The only way to avoid and conquer this is by being prayerful.
1 TH 5:17 says "Pray without ceasing".

2. DON'T MISS CLASSES:
No matter how brilliant you think you
are; if you miss class often, you will likely not to make first class even when you have scores that will give A in your exams or quiz. This is because, there are certain things said in the class that always appear in the exam and its not in the handouts or texts.
Besides, there are lecturers that take attendance serious that they even give marks for attendance. Missing such marks will always have some effects in your results.

3. AVOID GIRLS/GUYS:
Most of the people that made first class
we know have little or nothing to do with the opposite sex. I didn't say you shouldn't have friends of opposite sex as friends; you can
have just friends, friends from church and so on but don't get emotional attached with them, if possible..have no boy friend or
girl friend if you can. This is because there a lot of distractions involved in relationships and a lot of emotional trauma when someone you love hurts you. This can have a great effect on you if it happens which is certain to happen.

4. DON'T FREQUENT PARTIES:
You can attend parties maybe once in a while or get-together party but don't do this often or frequently.

5. CHURCH:
Spend good time in the church, always attend
fellowships more than parties, sorround your self with people that have that are "highly Spiritual".

6. MORE TIME FOR YOUR BOOKS:
Make reading your hobby, have more time for your books than every other time such as
beauty, talking, hanging out, arguments, etc. Read everyday and if possible..have a  timetable to structure how and when you read and try as much as possible to maintain it.

7. READ BEYOND WHAT YOU ARE TAUGHT IN THE CLASS:
Don't just rely only on what you are taught in the class, read beyond that, make researches,go to the library and get materials, read as if you want to grab
everything a topic says, read deeply and know what every topic is all about and not just for exam only.

8. DON'T NEGLECT ASSIGNMENTS:
There are some lecturers that are good in giving assignments and they don't play with it. Some assignments carry 15%, 20% or 25% of your assessment depending on the lecturer and the nature of the course. Missing such marks will have a great effect on your total score hence your GP.

9. HAVE A TARGET:
Your target should always be 4.9 and not
4.6. With such target, you will always be focused to maintain it. Set this as your target and do all you can to make sure your GP falls to that or slightly below it.

10. ALWAYS SEE PAST QUESTIONS:
Many people always fail questions because they don't know the pattern at which questions on such courses usually come. Some may think the questions will be
Objective while its theory and vice versa. So try and know how questions are asked on such courses by checking past questions for
different recent years on that course.
