Tanzania announce squad for 2017 AFCON qualifier against Super Eagles

Tanzania has named a 20-man squad, ahead of next month’s 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Nigeria.

Coach Charles Mkwasa has picked only one foreign-based player and 19 players from their domestic league for the game.

Benno Kakolanya, Jeremiah Juma, Hassan Kabunda, Mohamed Ibrahim and Joseph Mahundi were dropped, while Shomari Kapombe, Haji Mwinyi and David Mwantika were recalled to the squad.

The first leg ended 0-0 in Dar es Salaam and this return leg is a dead rubber, as both countries are out of the running for qualification.
