Thousands of worshippers trouped into St. Augustine Catholic in
Nenger, Makurdi, Benue State capital as news of a bleeding crucifix
spread through the town.
According to eye witnesses, worshippers noticed blood dripping from
the knees, feet and on the wall where the statue of Jesus Christ was
hung in the front of the church.
The place quickly turned into a pilgrimage sight as worshippers
jostled to catch a glimpse of the modern day miracle while others to
confess their sins believing the end had come.
The Catholic diocese of Makurdi is yet to make a statement concerning the incident.
